We stay here because Positano was out of our budget. Vico Equense is a great little town and the hotel was excellent. Be aware that taking a taxi to Positano is over 100 euros. We took a train to Sorrento and then a ferry to Positano but it took a great amount of time from actually being in Positano. Getting to Vico Equense from Rome by train was easy.

Having visited the hotel last October I knew what to expect. The hotel is located close to the centre of Vico Equense and is easy to access local restaurants and the train station. We loved the sea club it was located in the beautiful port of Seiano just below the hotel. We walked the 218 steps down to the sea club and availed of the hotels shuttle bus at €2 per person to come back up in the evenings. The hotel has complimentary Wi-Fi at the hotel and the Sea Club which is great. The range of food at breakfast buffet is varied and it suited each person in our group well. We ate of the lunch menu for ease when at pool or sea club and food is good. Didn’t eat at the restaurant in the evenings we preferred to go out into the town, however lots of guests seemed to eat there and the food smelt and looked delicious. The staff are very friendly and will help you with bus / train timetables etc. We booked transfers to the airport through the hotel and the company operated by Mr Tomas is very professional and yes it’s expensive but I wouldn’t attempt to travel from the airport to hotel by public transport the taxi transfer is so easy and much quicker. The hotel provide towels for the pool or sea club so no need to bring your own beach towels with you. Lots of the same staff that worked there in October were still working there and they are very pleasant, helpful and friendly.. We travelled to Monte Faito by public bus ,Sorrento by train and Capri by boat from Seiano. We visited Pompeii and Sorrento by train and Amalfi / Positano by boat from Piano de Sorrento on our previous trip. We will definitely return again to visit Hotel Mary and Vico Equense.

This hotel was absolutely lovely and felt like luxury! The breakfast was great, the staff were all so lovely, including the reception staff and cleaners on floor -2! The pool was so nice, as was the sea club. Everything was so clean and spotless. We travelled by train and it was so handy, a halfway point between Sorrento and Pompeii, and the town had quite a bit more going on than we were expecting, full of local life. The views were outstanding from almost all areas of the hotel. The decor is really smart, bedrooms were luxury and we had enough space for the 4 of us. Lovely bathroom. Honestly loved this hotel and didn't want to leave!

Room and bathroom were beautifully designed as well as functional. Everything everywhere was spotless at all times. Breakfast was exceptional with linen tablecloths. Wait staff were very pleasant and promptly responsive to spills, requests for cappuccinos, etc. Respectful quality service in the bar, also. Pool was nice and cool in the extreme heat we had. Pool staff were very pleasant and responsive. They let us store our luggage and utilize the pool beyond checkout for 15 euro per person.

Alessia on the front desk was amazing, handled any request for day trips, private boat trips, restaurant bookings or room changes without any fuss and was so helpful. Loved this little hotel. Had a room adjoining the pool deck which was a hit with the kids. Also catered to our allergies at breakfast. Thank you for making our holiday so great!

Lovely location, great view, nice staff at reception. Breakfast was lovely, great parking - they parked the car for us then we just called 10 mins before we needed it. Walking distance to lots of lovely restaurants. Close to the Circumves. train. Great restaurants close by (loved Franco Pizzaria)

The hotel was beautiful, with amazing views over the Bay. The swimming pool was fantastic, lots of loungers and the pool bar was great. The room was clean and functional, and the balcony was a bonus. Breakfast was great, everything you needed. The location was just outside of Vico Equence but only a 5-10min stroll in, depending on how fast you walk. The shuttle service to the beach was brilliant and the beach/platform area was fantastic.

Hotel Mary was ideal hotel in the lovely Vico Equense. The location is excellent, a very pleasant 5 min walk to the centre of the town and 10 mins from the train station. The hotel is overlooking the beautiful vistas of the sea, surrounding hills and the marina below. The staff were excellent, always very helpful and friendly. We spent most days at the beach club which was stunning and the staff there were again to be commended. Hotel also has a beautiful Spa which I would highly recommend to help unwind and relax!

Staff were amazing, especially Josey at reception, Mario at the restaurant and all the pool staff and porters. Breakfast was good. Dinner was also good. Everyone was friendly and happy to help. If you want to travel around, a hire car is recommended. Sorrento Town centre is about 30 mins drive away. There is a small port about 5 mins away to arrange boat tours but book in advance if your stay is short. Shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance.
